Black cotton jersey fabric
A fabulous plain single jersey fabric made of cotton.
A knitted fabric made from 95% cotton and 5% lycra. This wonderful 220 g / m² jersey has a lovely body weight and structure and is therefore ideal for making clothing.
Our quality knit stretch jersey is a single jersey. It is 150cm wide between its selvedge edges and we cut it to order by the half meter length. If you order multiple lengths then it will be cut as a continuous piece.
This fabric is ideal for creating soft and stretchy outfits as well as comfortable and durable edging on necklines and cuffs of your handmade clothing. This high-quality fabric stretches in all directions giving easy wear and fit. Washing guide:
After you’ve put love and care into sewing your outfits you want them to stay looking their best.
Turn your clothing inside out before washing to prevent the exterior surface from getting roughed up against other items. Avoid washing with items which create high friction such as towels or rough fabrics. Wash at 30 on a gentle cycle. Wash similar colours together and don’t leave wet clothes sitting on each other after washing.
Air dry if possible. If you must use a tumble drier then keep it cool to preserve your fabrics for their longest happy life.
